About Us Welcome to the Hand in Hand website We would like to take this opportunity to welcome your family to the Hand in Hand Child Care Society Programs. We are looking forward to working closely with you to provide quality childcare for your child. The purpose of this website is to provide families with an overview of our society and centre operations. The "hand in hand" staff and Board of Directors are committed to creating and maintaining cooperative, collaborative partnerships with families. Background of Society Hand in Hand Child Care Society, formerly known as Abbotsford Area Out of School Society (AAOOSS), is a non-profit society established in 1994. A need was recognized for a school age range of child care options for families in the community. Some very dedicated parents and professionals withing the Abbotsford community were able to secure funding and then initiated the AAOOSS. The programs operate on-site at several elementary schools within the Abbotsford, British Columbia community. Hand in Hand is committed to providing quality child care by working "hand in hand" with all levels of the Abbotsford community.
